GRAMINITE is a minimalist model of bedside developed out of necessity especially for smartphones and tablets. Every time you enter your bedroom to go snuggle in your bed you put your phone near to see it. Yes, it’s lying horizontally and it’s not charging. But what if you still maneuver it while charging if needed? In other words, how it would be to use the space and little things around you in an ergonomic manner?
GRAMINITE wants to be the answer to these questions being a minimalist support that complements the needs of today’s technology. And technology means more than smartphones or tablets, it’s also made by other popular devices offered by brands like Apple, Samsung, HTC, Sony, Microsoft etc.
So once you put your device close to the nightstand’s specially crafted socket, you can turn it on at any time to see what time it is, check a message or run an application without necessarily take it off or to unplug it. You can navigate through applications with one hand and without additional effort.
Even if you usually put your smartphone, tablet, book, glass of water, etc. on the minimal bedside’s surface our tests conducted showed that the board can successfully support a 10kg dumbbell while it creates the illusion that floats in the air.
You can choose between the simple model (GFM-STCS40) and the one with custom design applied (GFM-STCD40) to be matched with other cherished items from your ambient. In this case for example the GFM-STCD40 model was developed using a theme or design inspired by some geometric shapes from Romanian folk art to give the product a touch of authenticity.
GRAMINITE is currently available in a limited quantity being produced largely by hand. It’s made out of thick beech wood in order to create an authentic product with a lordly appearance. Minimalist bedsides are made on demand and their production time falls between 10 and 15 days.
These special nightstands are intended for a select audience. The custom model from our example is meant for some motels/hotels who want to preserve some Romanian folklore inspiration geometry.
